Food Intolerance

Food Intolerance. Food intolerance is a functional or structural intolerance to food, which is non-immunologic and non-toxic in origin, but is chemically based instead. For food intolerance in general, the only route to prevention is restricting the diet to exclude common substances that cause intolerance.

Food intolerance or food sensitivity is a negative reaction to a food that may or may not be related to the immune system or to food poisoning. Food intolerances: These intolerances are usually the result of enzyme deficiencies. People who can't break down a certain type of food properly may experience digestive distress.
